Prevent Unintended Dispensing:
Heavy grained coffee (such as Moccona) does not go well in the dispenser; the reason is the larger grains can stop the butterfly
from fully closing. The butterfly is a small steel disk, that moves back and forth (when the operator turns the flicker handle),
allowing the ingredient to fall through. If the butterfly does not close correctly, the respective ingredient (i.e. Moccona coffee
grains) are free to fall through. This makes an unnecessary mess and is also a waste of coffee! Finely ground coffee works best in
the dispenser.
It is best (when used to dispense hot beverage ingredients i.e. coffee, sugar, milo etc.), that the operator add the ingredients to
the cup/mug before adding the hot water. The reason for this is: if the operator places a cup/mug of hot water under the
dispenser mechanism, the steam from the hot water can (over time) cause the flicker assembly (including the butterfly) to clog–
up. The steam effectively melts the ingredients and makes the system all sticky, requiring someone
